About Us
Bradford on Avon Choral Society was founded in 1986 as a community choir for the local area. Since then we have rehearsed and performed a huge range of choral works — masses, anthems, oratorios, opera and secular pieces. We are enthusiastic amateurs who enjoy being part of the great British tradition of choral singing. Our concerts are generally performed with professional soloists and keyboard players or orchestra.
No audition is required but a high level of commitment is expected. In this way the musicianship of individuals increases and we can tackle more and more challenging works.
We perform two major concerts each year in the Bradford on Avon area, one in December and one in May/June. We also sing at charity or community events at least twice a year and, from time to time, hold all-day singing workshops which are open to everyone.
Thank You
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who was part of our summer concert in 2019. We raised almost £500 for Wiltshire Mind. Many thanks to our audience for their generosity.
